With respect to uniforms, insignia, and supplies new Scouts will need the following (items in red are supplied by the Troop
to new scouts and crossing-over Webelos -- no need to purchase):

Long-sleeve or short-sleeve Scout shirt (your choice); with a red turtleneck underneath, the short sleeve shirt is probably
more versatile
A Troop 182 T-shirt.
First one is included when you join; additional are $10. See the Troop Quartermaster
A Troop Cap
Boy Scout Neckerchief slide (fyi, there are many websites dedicated to neckerchief slides (or "woggles") -- use Google!
Knox Trail Council shoulder patch
World Crest Emblem (purple)
Patrol Emblem (Patrol specific (Scorpions, Kangaroo, Wildcats, etc.))
Compass with a clear base (see handout)
BSA Neckerchief (black with red embroidered)
1 one-piece 182 unit patch; additional ones are $3
1 personalized name tag (we need to know the name)
1 set of red shoulder loops
1 Boy Scout Handbook

Most boys do not wear the Scout pants, although you should feel free to buy them. We recommend any pair of khaki pants,
with a belt (Scout belt optional). Some Scout camps have more rigorous uniform requirements than Troop 182.
All of the above items are available at local Scout Shops
