Troop 182 owns and maintains a cabin at the Nobscot Scout Reservation. The Troop has had a cabin at the Reservation since the 1930's! Our home away from home is a beautiful wood frame building located approximately 15 minute walk from the Reservation Parking lot. The Nobscot Scout Reservation is located in on the Framingham - Sudbury line on Edgel Road (approximately 25 minutes from Wellesley). At over 480 acres of beautiful forested land, the Reservation is the largest parcel of land inside the Interstate 495 beltway. The grounds are owned by the Knox Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America. Nobscot is rich in Native American and Revolutionary War history. The ecological and environmental importance of the Reservation is unmatched. Nobscot offers many enjoyable hikes including one up to Tippling Rock, one of the highest points in Eastern Massachusetts! From Tippling Rock there are views of three states, Boston's towers, Mt. Monadnock, and more. |
