Fill out and submit the B.S.A. membership application (required before participation in any activity or event). This is a two-part form and must be signed by a parent or guardian. Please fold open the two-part form before completing the medical form on the back of the last page.

(A sample membership application form can be seen here (PDF Adobe Acrobat Reader required). If this link does not work, simply go to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) home page: www.scouting.org.)
Fill out and submit the Troop 182 Permission and Emergency Medical Consent Form (required before participation in any activity or event). Visit the Contacts page and send email for more information.
Submit a check for $50 made out to " Troop 182 B.S.A." (annual dues fee). This fee is reduced to $35 if you are transferring from another Cub Scout/Boy Scout troop after January 1 of the troop year and your previous Pack/Troop has paid your dues for the following calendar year. This fee will be waived if you are in need of financial assistance; please see one of the senior Scoutmasters. All troop members will receive Boy's Life magazine as part of their dues. An additional fee will be assessed for Junior Leaders (members of the Green Bar Council); details are announced at the first meeting in September.
(Optional): Fill out and submit the Scout Skills and Parent Resource Form - though not required, this form allows us to best understand the Scout and family. Make sure that all necessary medical information is provided.
A uniform costs about $60. Most of the patches required are included in the annual fees above. Camping equipment can run to many hundreds of dollars but the troop has tents and other equipment for use by Scouts and sharing is encouraged. Visit the troop for more information. Daytime activities usually cost from $2-$10. Overnight activities usually cost from $10-$20, depending upon event/admission fees and the menus planned. A two-night event usually costs less than double that amount. A really big trip, such as our mystery adventure, might cost $80-$120 for the weekend. Summer camp costs around $220 for 6+ days.

No boy should be discouraged from joining our Troop because of financial need. Financial assistance is available for all of the above expenses. Parents, please contact one of the senior Scoutmasters in confidence.
